“TIERNO” is a surrealist, coming-of-age short film about Beto, a young Mexican-American boy. Beto must reconcile a strained relationship with his recently deported mother with his sexual identity. As his reckless behavior spirals, anxiety-fueled fever dreams of botanical suffocation blur the line between hallucination and reality.
