Who is Tania?

Tania Dominguez-Rangel was born in Mexico City and raised in the suburbs of Atlanta. Her love for storytelling and the arts began at a very young age, influenced by her family’s creative and entrepreneurial energy. Although they had modest means of living, her parents always had cable and internet to keep their children entertained, and so, Tania grew up enthralled by literature, music, film/tv, and the internet, using platforms like YouTube and Tumblr as creative outlets.

She pursued a liberal arts education at Harvard University, where she led multiple student organizations, led creative direction for Harvard’s first Latinx literary magazine, PALABRITAS, and was a research assistant for Héctor Tobar’s award-winning book, Our Migrant Souls. In 2021, she graduated with a joint Bachelor’s degree in Romance Languages & Literatures and Film Production, setting the stage for her multifaceted career in the world of arts and media.

Tania's film contributions include producing and writing for film and TV projects that have gone on to be screened at venues and film festivals across the country. She was a 2024 Disruptors Fellow writing an original sci-fi TV drama.

In podcasting, she wears the hats of both host and producer for The Most Interesting People On My Timeline. Additionally, her voice has resonated on platforms such as the Nuestro South Podcast, where she served as a story fellow, as well as on A Shot of Truth Podcast, and the Juntos Community Podcast.

She also completed the rigorous No Label Academy music business intensive at Harvard in 2023, further rounding out her expertise in entertainment.

As the Artist Development Co-Lead for the Undocumented Filmmakers Collective, she contributes to fostering emerging immigrant talent in the entertainment industry.

She is, above all, a storyteller, and her practice and expertise across mediums establish her as a dynamic force in the industry. Her creative endeavors primarily explore Latinx cultural history/futures, BIPOC in the South, migration, and digital culture. Splitting her time between Los Angeles and Atlanta, and collaborating internationally, Tania continues to amplify underrepresented narratives across mediums with the goal of contributing to a diverse and equitable entertainment ecosystem globally.
